Navy MR (Matric Recruit) is the entry for Class 10 pass candidates into the Indian Navy. It is now filled through the Agniveer (MR) scheme, for roles such as Chef, Steward and Hygienist. Agniveers serve for four years under the Navy Act 1957.
The latest cycle (batches 01/2027 and 02/2027) accepted applications from 14 March to 6 April 2026, and the first-stage online test (INET) was held in May 2026. The application fee was ₹550 plus 18% GST. Vacancy numbers are announced in each notification. [Update with the dates of the next Navy notification once it is out]
नेवी MR (मैट्रिक रिक्रूट) 10वीं पास उम्मीदवारों के लिए भारतीय नौसेना में प्रवेश का रास्ता है। यह अब अग्निवीर (MR) योजना से भरा जाता है, शेफ, स्टीवर्ड और हाइजीनिस्ट जैसी भूमिकाओं के लिए। अग्निवीर नौसेना अधिनियम 1957 के तहत चार वर्ष सेवा देते हैं।

The recruitment medical is done by the Navy’s medical team. Candidates must be free of any condition likely to interfere with naval duty.
