Agniveer is the Government of India’s Agnipath scheme for recruiting soldiers into the armed forces for a four-year engagement. In the Army, Agniveers are enrolled under entries such as General Duty, Technical, Clerk / Store Keeper (Technical) and Tradesman.
After four years, up to about 25% of each batch can be enrolled into the regular cadre. The rest leave with the Seva Nidhi package and a skill certificate.
अग्निवीर भारत सरकार की अग्निपथ योजना है, जिसमें सशस्त्र बलों में चार वर्ष की सेवा के लिए सैनिकों की भर्ती होती है। सेना में अग्निवीरों की भर्ती जनरल ड्यूटी, टेक्निकल, क्लर्क / स्टोर कीपर (टेक्निकल) और ट्रेड्समैन जैसी एंट्री में होती है।
चार वर्ष बाद हर बैच के लगभग 25% तक अग्निवीर नियमित कैडर में शामिल किए जा सकते हैं। बाकी सेवा निधि पैकेज और स्किल सर्टिफिकेट के साथ सेवा से बाहर होते हैं।

Minimum height for General Duty depends on the region of your state. Chest should be 77 cm unexpanded, with at least 5 cm expansion. Weight should be proportionate to height and age.

Vision, hearing, colour vision and dental checks, chest X-ray, and blood and urine tests. Candidates should have no serious deformity or chronic condition, and tattoo rules apply.

The government adds an equal amount to the Seva Nidhi fund. On completing four years, an Agniveer receives about ₹11.71 lakh including interest.
